Duration: 30 Minutes
[00:00:00.000]
Get going on our session.
[00:00:02.000]
Welcome to maximizing Gale resources navigating the gale support site. This training is for Utah's Online Public Library, and my name is Tammi Burke.
[00:00:12.000]
I'm your senior training consultant from Gale, and I am very excited to talk to you and share with you all of the materials that you have available on the Gale support site, and how you can easily find that information. That's always the key is how to quickly find the information that you need.
[00:00:29.000]
We're all. We always start with access to your Gale resources. And then we're going to go into an overview of the gale support site.
[00:00:37.000]
I am going to share with you those direct Urls that you can utilize on your library websites for all of your gale resources, the training and marketing materials, and then any questions that you have please feel free to ask. I will leave you with my contact information and also your customer success manager. If you want that one on one support, the cool thing is that today, when I share with you.
[00:01:02.000]
The Gale support site. You will. When you log in, you'll be able to.
[00:01:07.000]
Create or put an appointment right on your customer success manager's calendar. And you can send her an email directly to. And I'll show you what that looks like today. So that's a great option to have. Once you're introduced to the support site.
[00:01:24.000]
So Utah's online Public library has a great website. Hopefully, you're familiar with this. A link is at the top. This is where you're going to find great information about all of your resources.
[00:01:34.000]
The gale. Resources are linked out and have this nice learn more button. So if you wanted to do some exploration on your own and find out a little bit more about. Say, books and authors. You can click the learn more button. What it'll do is it'll take you to the next page that has the information on that specific resource, so great tool to have and have available.
[00:01:57.000]
At this point. But I do highly suggest using your direct Urls. And I'm going to show you where you can find those today. The reason why is usage you now are able to.
[00:02:07.000]
Access, and have great usage reports.
[00:02:11.000]
For specifically for your library or your library system.
[00:02:15.000]
So keep that in mind. We will have a usage dashboard session once you all get using the resources down the road a little bit. We wanna make sure you have some usage to track, but all of that can be accessed from the gale support site, and I will share with you where you can find that information so to access. But if you do choose to, if you're reading about this resource and you want to access it immediately you have access, resources.
[00:02:40.000]
At the top, and it'll take you to this tab where you would have to enter in your library card.
[00:02:47.000]
The support site that we are going to today is here. And this is where we're going to spend some time. And I'm also going to show you that main gale support site. And you'll understand the difference. This one we have created specifically for Utah's online public library. So all of your specific information.
[00:03:06.000]
For your direct Urls, with the easy proxy built in, will be here. You'll also find.
[00:03:12.000]
Utah specific training webinars. Any documents that we created like, for example, we created an FAQ sheet. You will find that here, and then you'll find the general information training and marketing materials that are available for all of your products that you now have so.
[00:03:29.000]
There's a little bit of overlap between what that information and what you'll find on the Gale support site. But again, this is for the training materials you'll specifically find are for Utah's Online Public library. We have 2 tabs, and I'll I'll explain more of what I'm talking about. Once we dive in.
[00:03:47.000]
When you do access the site. This is a really good one to bookmark, and I just put it in the chat.
[00:03:52.000]
So if you once you access the site.
[00:03:55.000]
You can enter in your library, name or use the dropdown menu.
[00:03:59.000]
And then it'll take you to all of your direct Urls. You can export those links here on the right hand side and add them to your library website. Your location Id will be built in because you selected or entered in your library name on the 1st page.
[00:04:14.000]
So all of the usage will roll up to your site.
[00:04:19.000]
We. You will find libraries and library systems here, not library branches. That was direction given to us by Utah's online public library. So they decided that so look for your library system. If you don't see your branch listed there, because that's the that's the path that we're taking, and then easy proxy is already built into these links.
[00:04:40.000]
So authentication will be the same consistently across your resources, which keeps it really nice for your patrons, and keeps it simple for you all too.
[00:04:50.000]
Alright. So let's get started. And this is as far as get started. I want you to think about this is how you can get started. So getting started with your.
[00:05:01.000]
Gale resources. The 1st thing I highly suggest is, get to know your Gale customer, success manager.
[00:05:07.000]
They are there for that one on one support. They're there to support you, and all things scale.
[00:05:13.000]
You need help. They are the folks you want to reach out to, or if you want to walk through in the let's say, the support site. You want an additional walkthrough with them. You have specific questions, and you want to talk to someone on the phone. This is the person that you can contact and talk to. They can also help you with those usage reports.
[00:05:31.000]
Talk to you about access. Take a look at your library website, give you some suggestions and best practices.
[00:05:37.000]
They work with all of our customers and do just an absolute, fantastic job.
[00:05:41.000]
Then you would want to access the gale support site. And that's what we're going to cover today. And then, once you've done, you know getting to know your Gale customer, success manager access it.
[00:05:51.000]
Gale support site. Then you can start collaborating with your customer success manager, or we like to call them Csms.
[00:06:00.000]
To log into the gale support site. I put that link into the chat. You have that information once you do, or there's also, if you go to. If you don't use the last part of that.
[00:06:13.000]
Link I sent to you. So if you drop off the Pl, which is Utah's online public library, let's say you don't do that.
[00:06:20.000]
You can enter in your location. Id here you don't know your location. Id. Just select. Find your location. Once you log in either way. Either you're using the link I gave you, or.
[00:06:31.000]
You've you're just using support com.
[00:06:35.000]
Once you log in, then.
[00:06:38.000]
And and you could see, here's where the spot is that you want to log in. Then you're taken to the screen which has your customer success manager's information, and that's Allie ever.
[00:06:47.000]
And you can see here you can email directly or learn more and contact her, and she'll reach out to you and schedule an appointment or.
[00:06:57.000]
A Zoom Meeting, or whatever you actually were using teams. Now, a teams meeting and get working with you. So that's how you find your Gale customer success manager Ali supports all of our public libraries.
[00:07:11.000]
And, like, I said, does a fantastic job.
[00:07:14.000]
So with that, let's jump into the link I shared with you. If you want to follow along, you don't have to. You can just sit back and learn.
[00:07:21.000]
That works for me either way.
[00:07:24.000]
But this.
[00:07:25.000]
Site that I'm sharing with you now is that support site that we have created for Utah's online public library. So you can see with the logo here. You know exactly where you're at.
[00:07:35.000]
What we can see on this homepage at the top. We have all kinds of great information. I do suggest entering in your library.
[00:07:43.000]
If I go directly to product support without logging in, then it is going to take me to all of the gale resources that are available, not just what I have from Utah's online public library. So keep that in mind to always log in first.st So it filters that information down for you, and you're seeing exactly what you need, and not all of the gale products.
[00:08:05.000]
Upcoming webinars. These are Utah specific webinars that we have here. And this is the one that we have scheduled today.
[00:08:11.000]
Be sure to check back, because we will be adding more coming up here in the fall. And then again, your next step is to connect with your customer success manager at Gale you can see resources ebooks, the training center and then the marketing materials that are available right here from the homepage. You can jump to any of those sections.
[00:08:32.000]
Now I am going to enter in my library name. Let me see, I think we have.
[00:08:42.000]
I thought we had.
[00:08:44.000]
There we go!
[00:08:45.000]
I'm going to use this one today.
[00:08:52.000]
It just says Template. That's for internal use. Of course, if you're choosing your individual account.
[00:08:59.000]
Then.
[00:09:00.000]
You would want to do that. Here, let me go back and I'm gonna log out. So you I can see here. This is the one I am going to use today. But if I wanted to log out in the upper right hand corner I can sign out real quick.
[00:09:13.000]
And it might jump me all the way back to.
[00:09:17.000]
The main gale support page. Yeah, it did.
[00:09:19.000]
Okay. So all I do is to go back to that.
[00:09:23.000]
Site is Addpl, at the end of my URL.
[00:09:29.000]
And if I were choosing an individual library, I always use beaver public library as an example.
[00:09:35.000]
And click proceed works the same way.
[00:09:39.000]
Right. So if I'm at the State Library level or.
[00:09:42.000]
I'm at an individual library.
[00:09:45.000]
Since we're here, we'll just use beaver public again today. So you can see the product takes you right to your product list.
[00:09:52.000]
And all of your direct.
[00:09:54.000]
The easy proxy has been built.
[00:09:57.000]
So I have all of those available.
[00:10:00.000]
At the end. This is my location. Id.
[00:10:03.000]
Okay.
[00:10:04.000]
So that information is there, and it is.
[00:10:07.000]
Specific to each library or library system. So my location Id is at the end there. I will also see it up here at the top. If you notice.
[00:10:16.000]
Beaver Public Library. I have location, Id library type. There's my easy proxy. URL is available.
[00:10:23.000]
And then I have settings connect with us, sign out all those options are available, or get link.
[00:10:29.000]
Are all available.
[00:10:31.000]
I can view.
[00:10:33.000]
So if I wanted to go directly into one of my resources, and that's Chilton Library. This is geared towards.
[00:10:39.000]
Our mechanics car enthusiasts.
[00:10:42.000]
That's what library is great, for you can view, or I can copy this individual. URL.
[00:10:49.000]
If I was looking for a specific product. Let's say I am looking for.
[00:10:56.000]
I started to put in health. I was looking for health and well.
[00:10:59.000]
I could do that also and grab that direct URL.
[00:11:03.000]
If I was looking for a specific product like, I want all of my in context resources.
[00:11:11.000]
I can filter by that option too.
[00:11:13.000]
But as you're just all getting started.
[00:11:16.000]
You may want to export the entire list of links.
[00:11:19.000]
So you might want this option so that you can add them all onto your library website.
[00:11:27.000]
So that's the 1st tab that we're in.
[00:11:29.000]
When I go into ebooks.
[00:11:31.000]
That's our second tab.
[00:11:33.000]
I can see all of the ebooks I have access to.
[00:11:36.000]
The Isbn number.
[00:11:38.000]
Now all of our ebooks do have direct links, but you do not have to copy and paste all of these.
[00:11:44.000]
We have Gale ebooks which houses all of your ebooks in one spot. So it's just like our databases. It just holds your your specific collection of ebooks in one location. So it works the same. So you would find that on your if you go back to the product list, let me show you where that is.
[00:12:05.000]
I should be seeing it here at the top, unless.
[00:12:09.000]
Do this.
[00:12:12.000]
There it is. It was a little further down under the Id. So Gale ebooks.
[00:12:17.000]
This is where all of those ebooks list. But sometimes we have libraries that want to highlight certain titles.
[00:12:24.000]
So if that's something you want to do with your library, you can use the direct link to a specific title.
[00:12:32.000]
So keep that in mind that you have that option available, same idea, or export all of those links.
[00:12:40.000]
The training materials.
[00:12:42.000]
We 1st start with.
[00:12:47.000]
The upcoming webinars. And this is specifically for it lands you right into training materials for Utah public libraries. For so this is for Utah's online public library. And these are specific. You can see it always starts. I always put 4 0 uop. So you know that these are Utah specific trainings.
[00:13:05.000]
Same with the one that we're in today, which they drop off as soon as today ends. This will drop off so like at the end of the business day. I'll see it drop off.
[00:13:14.000]
The tip sheet is available. And this is something that has been created for specifically. And it's the FAQ sheet. So anything Utah specific training material, wise. You'll see that listed here, and these recorded webinars will continue to live here.
[00:13:30.000]
And be accessible. Now, recently I had a few folks from a library say, I can see the Transcript, but I can't see the video.
[00:13:40.000]
And I sent them the direct links, and they were still having issue. I didn't. They were going to check with their tech folks.
[00:13:47.000]
And I didn't hear back. So I'm guessing that was on Monday. So I'm guessing there was something on their end that was blocking those videos that was new. I'd never heard that before.
[00:13:57.000]
So I haven't heard back from them. If any of you folks are on the line, could you let me know that everything's working fine. You figured out the issue if you're not, that's okay, but just know that that for some reason came up, and it was pretty specific in their area. We haven't had any issues with that in the past.
[00:14:13.000]
And so I assume that there, it's working fine because I haven't heard back from anyone.
[00:14:18.000]
So beware. If you do just reach out to me. I can send you the direct links, or you can easily grab them here, because each of these has their own direct URL. So if I select, we just did health and wellness.
[00:14:30.000]
If I select that, URL, you can see it has its own URL at the top.
[00:14:34.000]
I have and it might be copying and pasting this, maybe into a different browser. Maybe that helped. I'm not really sure why they had a firewall protecting.
[00:14:45.000]
I'm not sure. Honestly, I don't know, maybe because it's a video. But you have the title, the description, the duration of that that webinar. And then here is the video where I can simply click, play the link. I can copy it here or.
[00:14:59.000]
It's in my up here at the top. I can copy that, too, and then the transcript is also available. Close captioning is always on every single one of our videos. Also.
[00:15:12.000]
And that does open in a new tab.
[00:15:15.000]
Now the training materials by product. Let me show you what that looks like.
[00:15:20.000]
Open by product.
[00:15:21.000]
And you can see here are the list of all of my products that I have available.
[00:15:26.000]
And I'm gonna show you a couple different ones.
[00:15:28.000]
So let's start with.
[00:15:33.000]
Start with entrepreneurship.
[00:15:35.000]
So Gale business entrepreneurship. This is one of our businesses.
[00:15:40.000]
You can see I have. And it's organized on the page professional development materials. So we have our Powerpoint slide deck that we have available.
[00:15:49.000]
Recorded webinars, and these are just open trainings that we've done at.
[00:15:54.000]
So these are not Utah specific.
[00:15:57.000]
Resource, guide, resource. Guides are great because they take you through. They're more of like that. Step by step approach through the resource.
[00:16:05.000]
So these are kind of nice when you're getting started. If or if maybe you have
[00:16:11.000]
Not not for your users. This is more for your staff.
[00:16:14.000]
It takes you through basic search, advanced search. So it walks you through the resource. The nice thing is with your gale resources is they're built on the same platform, so the tools and features are going to be shared across all your gale. Resources.
[00:16:28.000]
Okay, unless you see Gale presents.
[00:16:32.000]
Then that means it's
[00:16:34.000]
A company that we work with. Like National Geographic. We work with them. We sell the that resource but they own it so that the platform might look a little different. Although national Geographic Kids does look the exact same because we worked on that one. It's not a good example. Chilton Library is another one.
[00:16:49.000]
As an example. So. But you can see the resource guide is kind of that. Step by step you through each of the tools. Also.
[00:16:57.000]
And then where you can go to learn more.
[00:17:04.000]
We also have tip sheets available.
[00:17:07.000]
Training toolkits. These are new. We started adding these last year in the last year. And what we did with this is this is really it's
[00:17:16.000]
Guidance.
[00:17:17.000]
To all of our training, content.
[00:17:20.000]
For a particular resource. So we start you off with the basics. And this is a great place to get started, too. It's a click sheet. So if you are looking for some information that's already been curated for you, this is a great place to start where you could start with the review, and we take you through that step by step. Watch this tutorial. Here's some quick tips that we think will be helpful for you. Now you're ready to deliver your own training. This is what we have.
[00:17:45.000]
Available. Watch our webinar, take a look at the Powerpoint slides. Here's a tip sheet that you can share.
[00:17:50.000]
With your participants, need additional help. This is where you can go our blog, our Gale blog is fantastic. To find additional support. Tech support is available also. And then there's your customer success manager.
[00:18:03.000]
So the training tool kits are a great tool that you can utilize. We want to empower you all.
[00:18:09.000]
To start learning about those resources, but also eventually training folks at your own library.
[00:18:15.000]
You have tutorials available. Our tutorials are short and sweet, so you can see the 1st one is talking. We're looking specifically at the business plans that are available and Gale business entrepreneurship. So we might highlight something like that.
[00:18:27.000]
Or we might take a look specifically at the.
[00:18:30.000]
So utilizing the highlights and notes tool. And here's a quick tutorial.
[00:18:35.000]
So these are under 3 min long. They're really short, and they really take you in quickly and give you that exactly what you need very quickly, and we have a lot of libraries that will put these on their library websites if they're highlighting something for the month, like some of the tools and features they might pull out some of these tutorials.
[00:18:53.000]
So that's in gale business, entrepreneurship.
[00:18:55.000]
Gale in context, elementary. Let's use that one as an example.
[00:19:01.000]
Because you're going to find in our in context resources, we have a lot of ready to go student activities.
[00:19:08.000]
So for your library. A question a week. This is a great one. We have this in National Geographic Kids, also. Where you can use this with your library programming. Students are coming into your library. You want to get them utilizing your resources over the summer. Get them introduced because these are also resources that they'll be using at the schools in Utah. So.
[00:19:31.000]
You have lots of ready to go activities. We have some templates available escape room. We have 2 escape rooms for elementary, but we also have escape room templates. If you would like to build your own scavenger hunts. There's trading cards, and some of these have. Here's the escape room. Template.
[00:19:50.000]
Some have like this one develop early research skills. This is a great one that we use with teachers. But it has some graphic organizers available that are geared towards that elementary level. So the 1st page here is for is a teacher more of a teacher. But then we work into these documents developing research. Still, so choose topic.
[00:20:12.000]
And then the last one is planning. So those types of tools we have available to help our teachers, but also can be utilized in the public library, because you all wear lots of hats at the library. So we have these great activities to pull into your library programming. So I do encourage you to explore. I do have to say those escape rooms are really really popular.
[00:20:35.000]
Here's the parts of poetry. This is our newest one.
[00:20:39.000]
And they even we give you everything, even like the table tents. So if you wanted, it's in a Powerpoint. But if you wanted to download that we give you even the table tents if you wanted to set it up around your library. If you're, you know, want to bring kids in. It's a fun way to do that.
[00:20:53.000]
Lesson plans. These are really geared towards our teachers. We have professional development. So that training slide deck I mentioned. But here's also a welcome sheet.
[00:21:03.000]
Recorded webinars. We have a slew of those, a ton, and we do a lot of 15 min of mastery where we're focusing on like the integration of National Geographic kids integration into Gale In context. Elementary. So it's a quick 15 min session to kind of get the nuts and bolts of how that works.
[00:21:20.000]
And then you can see we have different things like curating texts or building your own scavenger hunt. We have sessions like that, too.
[00:21:29.000]
Resource guides I've already talked to you about, and then here are a ton of different tip sheets.
[00:21:35.000]
The training toolkit for elementary and then tutorials that we have available.
[00:21:42.000]
So that's what you have for training. Now let me go into marketing.
[00:21:47.000]
So that again, remember, the 1st tab is will take you directly to.
[00:21:51.000]
Sessions specific for Utah. The second one is by product.
[00:21:55.000]
Marketing works, by product.
[00:21:57.000]
So you'll see.
[00:22:00.000]
It takes you right into those products. So marketing materials that you have available.
[00:22:05.000]
Let's take a look at another. In context, we'll do biography.
[00:22:09.000]
Actually.
[00:22:10.000]
Let's go into.
[00:22:15.000]
High school.
[00:22:17.000]
Wait. Why am I not? Oh, because I need to be up here.
[00:22:24.000]
So we have social media banners, all different types of shapes and sizes available.
[00:22:30.000]
Blog templates, bookmarks, email templates. We even have some available in Spanish.
[00:22:38.000]
Homework, help flyers.
[00:22:40.000]
One in Spanish, one in English.
[00:22:42.000]
Looking to.
[00:22:43.000]
You need a press release.
[00:22:45.000]
We have that for you. Product description. Here you go social media posts. These are ones I really love, because when you're reaching out to your public library community. And let's say you're using Facebook.
[00:22:55.000]
And you want to use the face. We've got a couple of different options, 1, 2, and 3. There are 3 different images.
[00:23:01.000]
Let's say I choose option one.
[00:23:04.000]
This is already the right side shape and size, specifically for Facebook. And you can directly link.
[00:23:10.000]
Right into the resource if you want to. From this.
[00:23:13.000]
Icon. We have a lot of libraries that will do that.
[00:23:18.000]
And then, if you wanted to print any materials off, those are going to be your flyers, or bookmarks, or whatever we have available for that resource.
[00:23:27.000]
Like there's a homework. Help, bookmark.
[00:23:30.000]
And you can see this is how it comes. You can add your logo. There.
[00:23:34.000]
And even add the direct URL into the resource. If you want to.
[00:23:38.000]
And print those off.
[00:23:40.000]
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm kind of just.
[00:23:43.000]
Plugging away here through all that you have available.
[00:23:46.000]
Alright, now.
[00:23:48.000]
I'm gonna switch gears a little bit. We're staying on the support site.
[00:23:51.000]
But I want to explore these at the top.
[00:23:55.000]
And I'll explain why in just a moment. So we were on the Utah.
[00:24:00.000]
Utah's online Public library support page that we've created for you all.
[00:24:05.000]
One other thing you're seeing over here to the right when you're ready to start learning more ways to build and increase usage. Right now you're getting started with the resources. But if you want to hit the road running then you can, or, I should say, hit the ground running. You can take a look. Okay, what are some ideas for usage that I could instill now as I'm getting started. But right now you might want to be like Whoa.
[00:24:27.000]
Slow your role, lady. I just need to get started with these resources. That's fine. I completely understand. Just know that that is here for you, waiting when you're ready.
[00:24:36.000]
Alright at the top of your page. Now I am logged in. You have to log in first, st and you'll see all of this information.
[00:24:43.000]
Home is going to take you to that general support site, the product support. This is what I want to share with you, because it's really beautiful, how it's organized. When I click on browse products. I could go to any of these sub.
[00:24:56.000]
Categ sub categories here if I needed to. But we're going to go to browse products.
[00:25:00.000]
Because.
[00:25:02.000]
It's going to take me to all of my products again. I have filter options, product family options here to export all of my products. But what I want to share with you is if I click into, let's go to gale. Business insights.
[00:25:19.000]
It's working. It takes me to everything. So you can see I'm still in my beaver public library. Location Id is here. Here's my direct link.
[00:25:30.000]
And I.
[00:25:32.000]
No, if I'm seeing.
[00:25:34.000]
I should be able to see the easy proxy there, so it might just be hidden. I'm not seeing the full link. The description.
[00:25:41.000]
The database icons. If I want web icon or high res, or I need a thumbnail, I have that information. Here's my title list. My mark records.
[00:25:52.000]
Vpad. Information over on the right is where my training materials are.
[00:25:58.000]
And that provides me with everything that I need for that specific resource.
[00:26:04.000]
I want to jump to another resource.
[00:26:06.000]
Click, browse products.
[00:26:08.000]
And maybe this time I want to go into health and wellness.
[00:26:13.000]
And again, you're going to see training materials, marketing materials we have available and everything you need to get started with your resource.
[00:26:21.000]
So if you're looking for that icon, that's where you can find it. Now.
[00:26:25.000]
If I just wanted my icons I could very easily just click on icons.
[00:26:31.000]
And it would take me to all my icons. Now it is showing me everything. I'm not really sure I have to ask why we? I'm seeing that right now, we did some updates recently, instead of just taking me specifically to my resources.
[00:26:45.000]
I.
[00:26:46.000]
Want to see this filtered down a little bit more. The byproduct is an easier way to go, because for sure you're going to see all of your resources.
[00:26:54.000]
They have this little purple dot. It's letting me know that they're coming from Utah's online Public Library.
[00:27:01.000]
So if you purchase any of your own, you would, you know you would. That's where we get that purple dot from is just showing you. These are the ones from the state.
[00:27:10.000]
Okay.
[00:27:12.000]
Training center works the same way. The differences here is I can go into.
[00:27:18.000]
Browse by type. So I have. And I want to talk to you about content specific materials. So the training center browse by type.
[00:27:26.000]
This would take me to.
[00:27:28.000]
All of the activities, or all the professional development, or all the recorded webinars. So this is just another path you can take to that same information? If so, you have, you know, on the support page. I I shared with you that we've created for Utah's online Public Library. You have the Utah specific training materials and then product by product. This is a way of I was looking for. Okay, I want every tool kit. I can go into all just the training toolkit.
[00:27:52.000]
Or all of the tutorials.
[00:27:55.000]
Okay.
[00:27:56.000]
So that's an option. And then we have you can again go to video. Here. We've highlighted some, the ones that are utilized the most. What I want to share with you is the content. Specific materials.
[00:28:13.000]
And this is monthly. So we have one of my colleagues works on this, and she does some organization where she's planning all the way out into the fall right now, but these are organized by.
[00:28:25.000]
Different themes.
[00:28:27.000]
So you will see back to school with Gale in context.
[00:28:31.000]
And what she's done is this is one of our featured themes. You can see all of the resources. So there's a few in here that you don't have.
[00:28:38.000]
But.
[00:28:39.000]
Still, some that quite a few that you do have, and then you can see the materials that she's curated below. So we have longer ones like this, or.
[00:28:51.000]
You have seems like.
[00:28:55.000]
Which month is it? It was a B theme national honey month.
[00:28:59.000]
I thought she created a little B. Icon.
[00:29:02.000]
She did.
[00:29:07.000]
So you can see the scavenger hunt. We have a lesson plan available.
[00:29:12.000]
For the resources. And it's not just elementary. But you also have environmental studies, which is at that high school level.
[00:29:20.000]
So for national honeymoon. So you can see that everyone is as long as that in context, that we saw.
[00:29:26.000]
We do have these smaller ones here. Day of the dead. This one has some documents available to in Spanish.
[00:29:34.000]
So you can see this is using elementary, middle, and high school all resources that you have. So if you wanted to highlight day of the dead. You could do that. We have both English and Spanish available.
[00:29:44.000]
And quite a few different activities.
[00:29:49.000]
Alright. So again, that was under training center.
[00:29:51.000]
And it was content. Specific materials.
[00:29:56.000]
And it even has its own.
[00:29:59.000]
URL, so you can share that direct URL back to that spot. Any of these places I'm sharing with you like browse products. It'll have a URL. So if there's certain ones you want to highlight and grab.
[00:30:10.000]
You could do that. You can grab that direct URL back to it. Marketing materials works the same way, but you have browse by type.
[00:30:17.000]
We looked at browse by product as a path I took through the.
[00:30:23.000]
The Utah's online Public Library support page that we've created. But you also have that browse by type. Option.
[00:30:30.000]
So if I did want to look specifically at all the email templates, I could do that.
[00:30:36.000]
And then technical support. You have technical documents. FAQ, our database status is there.
[00:30:44.000]
Tools.
[00:30:45.000]
So there's some tools available. Gale Admin is one of the tools.
[00:30:49.000]
And this is used more for changing preferences within the resources.
[00:30:54.000]
It is.
[00:30:56.000]
Is library specific. So your library or library system, specific.
[00:31:01.000]
So there are some options there. It is an admin tool. It's exactly what it is.
[00:31:06.000]
Where all of these other materials can be utilized by anyone in your library. That Gale admin is specifically for administrators in your in your building, or the administrator in your building.
[00:31:16.000]
Usage dashboard. This is a great tool, and I and we will come back and do a training on the usage oops that's under tools.
[00:31:25.000]
Stop jumping usage dashboard on Gale pages, though I want to share with you.
[00:31:32.000]
Before you leave me today.
[00:31:34.000]
So Gale Pages is a complementary.
[00:31:36.000]
Site that you can use, and I'm going to access the site I'm logged in again. Still, Beaver Public Library.
[00:31:42.000]
I can access the sites, complementary.
[00:31:45.000]
It's also customizable.
[00:31:47.000]
And it's ready to go.
[00:31:49.000]
So this has all of your gale resources in one spot.
[00:31:53.000]
Listed here, now.
[00:31:55.000]
The only thing I question on this is, I'm not sure, and I will have to double check if the easy proxy it should be.
[00:32:03.000]
Your easy proxy should still be set up. I don't know.
[00:32:08.000]
If it is, though.
[00:32:09.000]
So I'm looking at the URL. I'm not really seeing any additional there. So that's the only thing I would caution you on, and I would need to do a little bit more research on that with your Gale Page. It is something that can be set up, I know, on Gale pages, but I doesn't look like it's automatically been set up so.
[00:32:28.000]
When you reach out to your customer success manager. If this is something you're interested in using at your public library, because it can be customized. You can add in tabs for library and organize your databases. However, you want your resources. However you want on there. You can add in resources from other vendors. It's not just limited to Gale.
[00:32:46.000]
We do have some public libraries that use it. K. 12 uses it a bunch.
[00:32:51.000]
So our individual accounts that utilize the resources. So not in Utah. Everybody accesses from K. 12 in one spot. So it's a little different setup. But in other States.
[00:33:02.000]
They will use this a lot, but we do have some public libraries that use it. So if this is something you're interested in, kind of talking a little bit more about.
[00:33:09.000]
Don't forget that you can reach out directly to.
[00:33:13.000]
Your gale customer, success manager. And that's Ellie effort. You can email her and schedule some time to meet with her.
[00:33:22.000]
Alright!
[00:33:23.000]
Let's go back. Let me know if you have any questions. We're gonna go back to.
[00:33:27.000]
Our Powerpoint, and.
[00:33:30.000]
We already talked about the gale support site. I just wanted to put it that link one more time at the top of the page here for anyone watching the recording, and just point out these are some of the don't forget we have tip sheets, Gale, top tools, tip sheet or
[00:33:47.000]
Tutorials.
[00:33:49.000]
Marketing materials, all of your access are all there on that gale, support site.
[00:33:56.000]
And that wraps our session. Gale, customer, success manager. Here's the information, too. If you would like to send an email to our general box.
[00:34:05.000]
You can do that. I'll leave it here on the screen. So you can see that information I also included in the follow-up email training should pop up when you leave me today. Please click, continue and give us some feedback. I'd love to get your feedback on this session and what you're looking for, how we can empower you, moving forward, feel free to leave that in the comments or if you're planning, you have some great plans. You're super excited about how you're gonna use your Gale resources. Let us know.
[00:34:30.000]
Yeah, there's spots for all these questions that I'm mentioning, and I do share that with our fantastic folks in Utah. But I also share internally with our gale people, too, so that we can hear all that you're excited about what you're planning to do or what you're planning, how you're planning to use the resources again. My name's Tammi Burke. I'm your senior training consultant from Gale, and I think you so much for taking time out of your day to join me for today's training.
[00:34:54.000]
I hope to see you again in the future.
[00:34:57.000]
Don't forget to come back and check the support site in the training center, and we'll be posting more sessions soon. So thank you. Everyone for your time for this great onboarding experience that I've had with you all. I hope you have a very successful launch, and let me know if you have any questions? Thanks, everyone. I'll stay on the line.
[00:35:16.000]
But I'm gonna stop the recording now. Thanks. Everyone.
