In June, we offered an overview of your new Gale resources; now we want to dig in further on some tools you'll really put to work in the public library like ChiltonLibrary, Career Transitions, and General OneFile. ChiltonLibrary supplies a solution for the do-it-yourselfer that is easy to use no matter the skill level. Repair, maintenance and specification tables provide critical data on thousands of domestic and imported models of cars and light trucks from 1940 onward. It provides quick online access to repair, maintenance and service information on seven decades of the broadest range of vehicles available, including cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. Career Transitions is a complete, self-paced application that walks job-seekers through the entire process from assessing strengths and interests, to exploring new opportunities, to ultimately improving the chances of landing a job. In this webinar, we'll share how to take advantage of this resource for first time job seekers as well as people interested in finding a new career! General OneFile is Gale's largest general-interest database, serving as the public library's ultimate periodical resource, with more than 8,000 titles (most in full text with no embargo), many of which are recommended by Bowker's Magazines for Libraries. Also included is reference, newspaper, and audio content that complements the resource's robust collection of magazines and journals.
